Buxton picked up their first league double of the season after a 3-1 victory over Banbury United at the Silverlands stadium.
Jake Wright gave the hosts the lead in the 16th minute after Adam Livingstone whipped a ball into the area which Wright tapped into the back of the net.
In a half with not to many chances the ball evaded Wrights head after a cross into the box that went out for a throw in.
Buxton doubled their lead just before the break. Wrights original shot was saved with Jack Harding quick on his feet before his follow up shot was dinked over the keeper and he was taken out in the box. Connor Kirby stepped up to the spot and dispatched it in added time.
Banbury had a lot of the early possession in the second half but The Bucks were able to limited the visitors chances with captain Josh Granite standing strong at the back.
However it was Buxton who added a third and Kirby who added his second in the 61st minute. A past through from Eoin McKeown found Ben Andreucci who with a slotted ball across the goal came to Kirby to fire in.
With all of the substitutions used the visitors had to see the final stages of the game out with ten men.
Although with the man advantage the hosts conceded late on to Banbury with Ken Charles getting a consultation goal in the 88th minute of the game to make it 3-1.
