An Interview with Tommy Elliott

Last week I spoke to Bucks Midfielder Tommy Elliott about the season so far and looked ahead to the York game.

What have you made of the teams performance so far this season?

“I think we have done well the team’s performances speak for themselves and if we keep going there’s no reason we can’t keep it up”

How do you think you have done as a player this season?

“I think I’m doing well I like to keep stats of goals and assists for myself and I’m doing better then last season and I’m just doing what I can to help the team do well and that’s what we want”

What do you think the best performance has been this season ?

“Personally I’d say the FA Cup game at home against Rushall I think I got 2 goals and 2 assists that game and as a team I’d look at Basford away I thought we were brilliant or Kettering at home especially the second half”

What would it mean for you to progress to the next round of the FA Cup?

”I think I’ve seen already we are in the history books getting here for the first time since 1962. York obviously in the league above but we have already took on Kettering and beaten them. But we will go into the game respecting York but we will fancy ourselves we know our threats so let’s get into the second or third round I keep joking about wanting to play at the Emirates so let’s keep going”

Do you have any goals for the rest of the season?

“As a team I’d like to get promotion, a championship, a winners medal as I’ve never had one of them in my career yet and I’d like to just keep performing well and contribute to more goals”
