Belper Town maintained their unbeaten run in the league after a 2-1 win away at managerless Worksop Town.
Belper Town manager Grant Black made one change to the starting eleven from last weeks 1-0 win against Alvechurch FC. George Milner was dropped to the bench and Charlie Dawes started.
Belper Town took the lead after 20 seconds when Derry Robson picked up a loose ball on the left hand side and scored a thunderbolt into the top right hand corner of the net.
It was a fairly even first half right up to the 44th minute as Derry Robson played the ball to Nathan Curtis. Curtis ran down the right hand side and played in a low ball to Charlie Dawes on the left hand side and Dawes put the ball in the back of the net from a tight angle to make it 2-0 to Belper just before half time.
It was a fairly even second half as chances fell to both sides right up to the 85th minute. Steven Woolley picked up a loose ball and ran down the left hand side and played the ball to Andrew Gascoigne, who put the ball in the back of the net from just outside the penalty area to pull a goal back for Worksop.
Belper managed to see out the last few minutes of normal time and three minutes of injury time to clinch all three points.
The Nailers will be back in action on Saturday 21st September in the FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round against Witton Albion at the Raygar stadium.
