BREAKING: Chesterfield add prolific striker to their ranks

Chesterfield have announced the signing of Danny Rowe from Bradford City for an undisclosed fee.


Rowe joined the Bantams in January on an 18-month-deal, for an undisclosed fee. The striker scored 5 goals in 18 for the club however has been out of favour recently.


The 32-year-old scored 73 goals for AFC Fylde in the National League and nearly 200 goals in total for the North West club. He also scored a crucial goal for the Coasters against Leyton Orient which saw them win the FA Trophy.


In January 2020 Rowe left Mill Farm after expressing a desire to play in the Football League and subsequently joined League Two club Oldham Athletic later that month.


Rowe also has represented Fleetwood Town, Droylsden, Stockport County, Barrow, Lincoln City and as a youngster spent time at Preston North End and Manchester United.


He will look to provide the Spireites with some ruthlessness up front which they have lacked in recent games.
