Chesterfield have announced two new signings ahead of James Rowe's first home game as Spireites manager.
Midfielder Jak McCourt returns for his second spell at the club. He spent the 2017-18 season with the Spireites making 34 appearances and scoring 4 goals, before being released by Martin Allen at the start of the club's first season in the National League. The 25-year-old spent time with Swindon Town and Macclesfield Town before returning to the Technique Stadium.
James Rowe has also signed Tom Whelen who is a familiar face because he played for Weymouth against the Spireites on Saturday. He was on loan at the Bob Lucas Stadium from Yeovil Town and plays in midfield.
