Buxton finished off a great pre-season with a 3-2 win against National League North side Chester at the Silverlands.
The home side started off well with a shot from Diego De Girolamo coming in the opening minute after a short freekick firing it over the bar.
Chester did respond well however with John Johnson’s shot from inside the box having to be tipped over the bar from Grant Shenton.
Johnson again did well coming very close in the 13th minute when his shot hit the underside of the bar before being cleared away.
They continued with this great period of football with a whipped freekick which met the head of Danny Elliott which went just over the top of the bar.
Buxton gained another opportunity from Diego De Girolamo when his outside the foot shot from the edge of the box curled wide after it fell to him from a corner. The Bucks grabbed The first goal of the game through James Hurst after he fired home at the back post.
Chester scored soon into the second half grabbing the equaliser after a throw in found Elliott, who crossed it into Warring who tapped it away to make it 1-1.
Reece Stych gave the Bucks the lead again from the penalty spot. The forward was fouled in the area before slotting the spot-kick away.
It didn’t take long for the away side to equalise again with Elliott finding his way into the box before smashing home with powerful effort.
The second half was a very even encounter with lots of the ball in the middle of the field. However, Chester did come close to taking the lead when Elliott almost grabbed another goal with his header going just over the bar.
Buxton finished off the game brightly with a shot from Diego which looked like it was going in if it wasn’t for a fantastic save from Gray.
They found a winning goal through Styche again with his deflected shot from the edge of the box finding the back of the net.
Buxton's 3-2 win marked yet another victory in pre-season.
