Buxton face Whitby at home in 2nd game of the season

Whitby visit Buxton after the original fixture got reversed.


Recent games

Buxton won convincingly on Tuesday night in the Fa cup beating Belper Town 7-0. They will be looking to build on their league form to after a tough opening day game and victory vs Radcliffe.


Whitby also won there first game of the season picking up a 2-0 win against Witton Albion. They loss narrowly in the cup after a penalty shootout.


Opposition

The club is nicknamed the blues and play their games at Turball Ground. The North Yorkshire club’s stadium holds 3500. The Seasiders won the Fa Vase in 1996/97.


One to watch

Former Buxton player Jacob Hazel became Whitby’s first summer signing. The former Buck signed from Frickley where he was captain. His most prolific season came in 2017/18 in which he scored 47 goals.


Last time out

The last match these 2 sides played was all the way back at the beginning of last season in which Whitby won 4-3.
