Buxton fell to a narrow defeat after a late goal from substitute Harry Green gave Scarborough a 1-0 victory on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts started on the front foot with a good passing play resulting in a Frank Mulhern shot from the edge of the box that was saved down low from Max Dearnley.
Kieran Weledji then volleyed a long range effort high over the goal.
Diego De Girolamo had the best chances for the visitors both coming late in the first half.
First he dinked the ball over into the net before the linesman ruled it out for offside.
His freekick attempt was the last effort of the half that he curled just over the bar.
2 headed shots came close from both sides early in the second half. First Jake Hull rose from a corner to head over then Ryan Qualter had a diving header also go narrowly over.
De Girolamo got into a good shooting opportunity in the box before a great block from the Scarborough defender.
Substitute Green came on and made an instant impact turning his man and running through at Dearnley who came out quickly off his line to save it.
Green then gave Scarborough the lead in the 87th minute a ball through the middle split the Bucks defence and he finished it into the far side to seal all three points.
