Buxton were knocked out against City of Liverpool in The FA Trophy with the visitors winning 3-1.
The Bucks had 11 players out either with injury or suspension named 3 academy players on the bench.
New signing for The Bucks William Bapaga showed a promising start on his debut crossing the ball to Scott Boden who headed the ball just wide.
The Purps first chance of the game came after a cross from Xenon Bahula went into the path of Max Dearnley.
Bapaga was involved once again trying to find Boden in the box but it was intercepted before being cleared away from the City Of Liverpool defence.
Boden had a bit of quick feet and dribbled through a couple of players before playing a 1-2 pass with Connor Kirby and laying the ball through to Jordan Burrow who fired the ball wide.
It wasn’t long before City of Liverpool found themselves ahead in the second have with Bahula running down the left wing before playing a low cross into the incoming Callum Schorah and with a cheeky flick he finished it off.
He almost doubled his and his teams tally minutes later forcing Dearnley into a save down low.
Curtis Weston played the ball over the top and it fell to Boden who fired it over the goal.
The Purps doubled their lead in the 70th minute after Josh Quarless was left unmarked in the box from a corner and headed it into the net for 2-0.
Buxton thought they had a lifeline in the 81st minute when Kirby tapped home Bapagas cross to get a goal back. However with 7 minutes added on at the end of the game Danny Mitchley volleyed the ball in to make it 3-1 and send The Bucks out of the Trophy.
