Buxton have to share the points at Telford

Sean Newton’s 25 yard freekick  was cancelled out by Brendon Daniels late first half goal as both sides shared the points.

The home side put the pressure on early on with Newton had to block Prince Ekpolo’s shot before it fell to Chong who’s shot was saved by Theo Richardson in goal.

Buxton’s first attempt of the game came in the 13th minute as Levi Andoh ran with pace down the middle of the pitch and passed it out to Declan Poole who put in a cross which Luke Pilling came out to catch.

It went from bad to worse with The Bucks already having injury issues as Jason Gilchrist went down injured and had to be replaced by Diego De Girolamo.

Newton gave The Bucks the lead as he smashed in a 25 yard kick into the top corner of the net.

Within just under a minute Telford we’re back on level terms again with Ekpolo picking up a cross and unselfishly squaring it to Daniels who fired it home.

The Bucks started the the second half well with substitution Serhat Tasdemir being involved in a lot of the action.

Firstly on the counter attack as he tapped the ball past Harry Flowers, Flowers took the player out and was shown a yellow card.

After that Tasdemir had a shot on the edge of the box which was deflected behind.

Telford responded well with a deflected cross leading to Richardson punching it out and Ekpolo could only head it over the net.

The last chance of the game fell to the hosts as Daniels crossed it in to Devarn Green who couldn’t get on the end of it as it ended 1-1.
