Warren Clarke started his first game in over 3 months and grabbed a goal as The Bucks drew 2-2 on the road to extend the unbeaten run to 7 games.
Buxton started on the back foot with both Jon Utabasi and and Ollie Shenton having blocked shots go just over the bar.
Jak McCourt had 2 dangerous set pieces to responded with a corner going all the way across the face of the net and a freekick curled that no one could get on the end of.
The vistors almost took the lead from the penalty spot as Warren Clarke was dragged down by Jack Sampson. Tommy Elliott stepped up to the spot and Matt Unwin put in a crucial save and saved the rebound to deny Buxton taking the lead.
The Bucks did however take the lead just before half time with McCourt’s freekick eventually finding Substitute Declan Poole who pounced to give them the advantage going into the break.
Both teams had early chances in the second half with half volleys falling to Adam Blakeman and Connor Kirby but neither being able to test the keepers.
Theo Richardson was forced into a brilliant save from Scott Wilson with Chorley putting on pressure.
And the home side found the equaliser with Wilson putting a ball into the box finding Connor Hall who smashed it in from 5 yards out.
The Bucks immediately regained the lead this time Poole was the creator as he crossed it into the head of Clarke who put it-into the back of the net.
10 minutes from time Josh Granite took Harry Scarborough to the ground and the referee awarded the second penalty of the game. Hall stepped up and grabbed his second of the game.
Despite late chances from both sides neither were able to find the winner as it ended 2-2.
