Buxton pick up home win amidst injuries: Wright and Andreucci deal victory

The Bucks secured a second consecutive home league victory with headed goals from both Jake Wright and Andreucci, who picked up his first goal in senior football.

The Bucks took the lead early on after a turnover found Kirby out wide, and he crossed it into the box, finding the head of Wright who, with power, found the back of the net in the 11th minute.

Wright, however, was forced off only 10 minutes later with an injury, being replaced by Sam Osborne.

Gloucester had a great chance to equalize after Danny Wright saw his shot go just wide of the post.

The injury problems continued in the second half for The Bucks with substitute Sam Osborne going down and Tommy Elliott having to come on for him in the 51st minute.

In the early stages of the second half, The Tigers managed to have a lot of the ball, with both Sam Minihan and Josh Granite blocking goalward shots.

On-loan striker Ben Andreucci managed to bag his first goal in senior football in the 63rd minute, doubling Buxton's lead. Adam Livingstone crossed the ball in, and Andreucci was there to head it in to make it 2-0.

Max Hunt almost came close to adding a third, rising from a corner, and his header going just over the bar.

And The Bucks were made to make another change due to injury, with Andreucci having to come off due to a dislocated shoulder, making it all 3 changes due to injury issues.

The Bucks did see out the 3 points in the end as they make it 6 wins in the last 8 games.
