The Bucks won 3-0 away at Bamber Bridge thanks to a Scott Boden goal and a Connor Kirby double as they go through in the cup.
Buxton started well with Tommy Elliott closing down the keeper quickly to apply pressure.
Aaron Skinner for the home side put in a low cross that Mat Hudson collected well.
In the 15th minute the ball fell to Lindon Meikle who’s shot went narrowly wide of the mark.
The Vistors were able to get a control of the game as 2 shots in quick concession happened. Connor Kirby hit a long range effort which forced the keeper to pull out an outstretched save. Then Warren Clarke ram it down the line and passed it to Elliott who cut it back to shoot and the save didn’t quite fall to Boden as Felix Goddard collected the ball.
In the 26th minute The Bucks managed to take the lead as Matt Sargent played Elliott through the keeper saved it and Elliott looped in a ball at the back post as Boden calmly put it away to give Buxton the lead.
Fin Sinclair- Smith had the last big opportunity of the half hitting Paul Dawson’s cross first time over the bar.
It wasn’t long before The Bucks had doubled their lead as a loose ball from a freekick was passed from Elliott to Kirby who smashed the ball into the bottom left hand corner.
Elliott was involved again as he was pushed over in the penalty box but the referee waved the shouts away.
Bamber Bridge did come close late on as as Newton put in a last ditch slide tackle to stop Turner from getting his shot away.
Buxton secured themselves in the hat for the next round as Jason Gilchrist passed the ball across in the last minute of the game for Kirby to score his second of the game.
