Buxton beat Ashton United 4-1 in their first game as a fulltime club.
Ashton won an early freekick when Nathan Lowe was taken out on the edge of the box. Ex Buck Sean Newton forced the Buxton goalkeeper into a save with his effort searching for the corner.
Ethan Fitzhugh was able to get on the end of a quickly taken throw in and found Diego De Girolamo and after a last-ditch block by Sam Baird, his shot in the box was blocked and cleared away.
The ball was forced out wide in the 27th minute to Dejavan Pedro by Fitzhugh and he managed to get the ball back across searching for Pedro his acrobatic attempt didn't quite reach the ball as it went out.
In the last attack of the game The Robins launched a counterattack move with Darius Osei finding Jack Massey but Josh Granite was back to put Massey under pressure as he sent his shot wide.
One of the trialists that came on at halftime started the second half from a tight angle forcing the Ashton keeper into a low down save.
But it was then 3 goals in a matter of minutes that made the difference as The Bucks fired on.
17-year-old Sam Tomlinson ran with pace to win the ball and slot it past the keeper to make it 1-0 in the 54th minute.
And not long after that Callum Leigh cut the ball back into the box for Pedro to smash it in with his left foot for 2-0.
The third goal in as many minutes fell to a trialist with a scooped cross attempt that found its way into the far netting in the 56th minute.
After the quick 3 goals from The Bucks, the game settled down with both sides making substitutions and Buxton bringing on both academy lads Connor Brady and Dylan Mantle.
And Mantle helped to make an impact with him being taken out in the box and the ball coming through to a trialist and the trialist slotted it into the empty net for 4-0.
Ashton did get a goal back late on though with Bobby Bjork who came off of the bench firing in from the edge of the box as the game ended 4-1.
