We are on the road again as we start are Isuzu FA Trophy competition with a trip to Blyth Spartans.

The Bucks

The Bucks go into this game following their narrow defeat to Scarborough on Tuesday night.

Despite a good second half performance The Bucks couldn’t capitalise as Coalville goal late in the first half was the difference.

Opposition

Blyth lost their last game 3-0 away against Boston United

They currently sit 23rd in the National league north on 14 points.

Their manager is Graham Fenton who as well as playing 116 games for The Spartans played in the Premier league for Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers and Leicester City. Fenton took the job after being sacked from South Shields in January.

The club finished 19th in the league last season.

They play their games at Croft Park which has a capacity of 4435.

One to Watch

Matty Cornish scored 2 goals for the home sides last win against Telford.

The midfielder joined the club in the summer after playing in America.

Last time out

We don’t have to go back far to find the last time these 2 sides faced each other as The Bucks lost 2-1 at the Silverlands late on earlier this season.

The last visit to Blyth was in December 2016 which ended in a 0-0 draw.
