Buxton are back at home as they look to start their run in the Derbyshire Senior Cup against Chesterfield in a Competition they are looking to win for the third consecutive season.
The Bucks
The Bucks go into this game after drawing 1-1 against Spennymoor last weekend.
Luke Brennan scored his first goal for the club finishing it off after Liam Ravenhill’s cross.
Following the draw manager John McGrath said:
"We didn't start too well and gave the ball away too easily, but we responded positively after Spennymoor scored from a corner and our goal was outstanding.”
"We were good for the rest of the game. Spennymoor is a tough place to go and the lads deserve praise for keeping up the pressure, as well as defending strongly. We moved the ball well and created chances.”
"Next, Chesterfield at home, and we want to win thatsenior cup game. It's a great competition and desirable silverware."
Opposition
They play their games at the SMH Group Stadium which has a capacity of 10,600.
Chesterfield FC were founded in October 1867 originally before the current club was founded in April 1919.
The club are nicknamed The Spireites.
The club finished 1st in the National League last season gaining promotion to the Football League.
They currently have 25 points from 18 games and sit 9th in League Two.
They lost their last game 2-0 to MK Dons last night however in this competition they often bring a lot of their academy and youth team players so we might see a very different side to that one.
Paul Cook is in his second spell of managing the club after previously taking charge between 2012-15.
One to watch
Gunner Elliott is a bright 16 year old forward that last month earned a call up to Malta’s under 17 team.
He joined the club this year as a Scholar.

Chesterfield won 1-0 here back in 2018 in this competition.
