A last minute penalty from Darlington denied Buxton all 3 points on the road.

Floodlight failure in the ground after 3 minutes meant a delayed kickoff for The Bucks as they started 30 minutes after the original time.

The Bucks handled the restart well with a Josh Granite header going just over the bar and a Diego De Girolamo shot from the edge of the box being dragged narrowly wide of the ex Buck Tommy Taylor in the sticks.

Darlington responded immediately Kaine Felix hitting a powerful effort wide of the mark.

The hosts best chance in the game so far came only a minute later as Jack Lambert beat his man and shot from 22 yards out forcing Theo Richardson to tip it onto the bar.

In what was a very even contested end to the half Buxton had the last chance with Brad Jackson coming close from a flicked headed on corner ball.

The Quakers started the better of the sides in the first half Jassem Sukar.

Buxton took the lead in the 54th minute through a Joe Ackroyd deflected effort finding the top left hand corner of the goal.

Former Buck Jacob Hazel had a quick passing move with Theo Williams before hitting his shot in the penalty area just wide.

Hazel then proceeded to hit the post from a freekick on the edge of the box only minutes later.

With Buxton on the back foot since the goal Richardson pulled off another great saved to stop Williams.

And heartbreak for Buxton hit in the last minute of the game when Max Conway took down the Darlington forwad in the box and the referee pointed to the spot. Substitution Liddle stepped up and fired it into the top right hand corner to equal the score.
