FA CUP SECOND QUALIFYING ROUND REPLAY PREVIEW: BUXTON TRAVEL TO BARWELL

Buxton FC will face Barwell once again on Monday evening in their FA Cup second qualifying round replay after battling back to a 2-2 draw on Saturday.


Match Recap

The first game saw Buxtom come from two goals down to secure a draw. Despite an early own goal from Ethan Mann and a second just before halftime from Barwell’s Ethan Hill, Buxton responded with second-half strikes from Ben Andreucci and Diego De Girolamo.


After the draw manager John McGrath said:


"We should have won the game. Mistakes let them in twice in the first half. But the lads reacted well and created a lot of second half chances. They are raring to go for Monday. We're full timers against part timers and I am confident."


The Stakes

With a place in the FA Cup third qualifying round at stake, the winner will face Kidderminster at home.


Opposition

The club play in the Southern League Premier Division Central whichthey finished 14th in last season.


They play their games at Kirkby Road which holds 2500 which 256 being seated.


The club are nicknamed The Canaries.


They currently sit in 19th and have 5 points after 7 games.


One to watch

Ethan Hill scored straight from a corner at the weekend.


The 22 year old defender has previously played for Ilkeston, Telford, Kettering and Mansfield.
