The Bucks go into this game after a hard fought win in the week at Darlington.
Ben Sault’s through ball found Johnny Johnston after 10 minutes and the forward won the penalty.
Luke Brennan stepped up and dispatched to score the only goal as Buxton made it back to back away victory’s.
Following the win manager John McGrath said:
"This was hard-fought. We started well. defended as a unit, the midfield was excellent and we ran out worthy winners overall.
It's a tough place to come and this was a very satisfying result, down to sheer hard workand togetherness.
It's great to see our young group learning as the season unfurls. The lads are learning and will only get better. It bodes well for the future. It will be nice to go back home after two away wins and we'll be giving our all."
Opposition
The club finished 17th in the National League North last season.

The club are nicknamed The Sandgrounders or The Port.
Southport came into this league in the 2017/18 season after they were relegated from the National League the season before.
Their manager is Jim Bentley who in his playing career played over 250 times for Morecambe.
In the 1930/31 season they reached the quarterfinals of the FA Cup where they face Everton but were knocked out after losing 9-1 to the Merseyside club.
They were originally founded in 1888 and started off playing in regional leagues.
They have won this league twice, once in 2004/05 and once in 2009/10.
Southport currently sit 16th in the league on 33 points from 27 games.
In their last game they lost 4-1 to Spennymoor with Dior Angus scoring the only goal for Southport from the spot.
They haven’t won in 2025 yet picking up 3 draws and 2 loses.
One to watch
Sam Minihan who signed for Southport from Buxton was injured when the sides met earlier on in the season.
The right back won the player of the year award for his performances in a Bucks shirt last season.
Last Time Out
In August when the sides met it was a 3-2 win for Southport with Josh Popoola and Kieran Burton grabbing the goals for The Bucks.
Last time Buxton won this fixture was narrowly in February 2023 when Diego De Girolamo’s goal was the difference in a 1-0 win at the TSS.
