UP NEXT:

We are in league action again as we welcome Hereford to The Silverlands on 12th October with a 3pm kickoff.

The Bucks

The Bucks go into this  game after losing narrowly 1-0 to Curzon Ashton last week.

Following the loss manager John McGrath said:

"After a poor start we gifted them a goal, then they sat in and we were chasing the game, naively at times. I thought we might nick a goal in the second half. We certainly had our moments, but it wasn't to be. The squad is work in progress. It's a project here and we'll keep working at it."

Opposition

Their manager is former Birmingham City player Paul Caddis who took charge in 2023.

The club finished 11th in the league last season.

They are nicknamed The Bulls.

They play their games at Edgar Street that has a 5250 capacity.

They sit 9th in the league with 15 points after 10 games.

In their last game they drew 0-0 away at Alfreton making it their third league game in a row where it has ended goalless.

One to watch

Early this week they announced the signing of Ryan Bartley from Derby County on loan for a month.

He is a versatile defender that has played both centre back and right back.

After being released from Crystal Palace he was picked up by The Rams in 2023.

He has featured this season for fellow National League North side Spennymoor town.

Last Time Out

Despite being two goals up in April Buxton drew 2-2 with Hereford with two late goals from Andrew Williams.

Last time at The Silverlands Jake Hull scored a late winner after Jordan Burrow’s opener was cancelled from the penalty spot in a 2-1 win.
