NATIONAL LEAGUE NORTH PREVIEW: BUXTON FACE RUSHALL BACK AT HOME

UP NEXT:

We are back at home as we face Rushall on 7th September with a 3:00pm kickoff.

The Bucks

The Bucks go into this game after losing 1-0 to South Shields on Tuesday.

Following the loss manager John McGrath said:

"We were very dominant, especially first half. Our shape was good and we limited Shields to very little. But we failed to put our chances away, which is very frustrating.

"We look a capable side, playing good football,  but if you don't get on to the end of balls in the opposition box you don't win matches. We'll be looking at this in training, improving communication and positioning. I'm bitterly disappointed we didn't come away with at least a point but we have a chance to get back to winning ways at home to Rushall."

Buxton have made the signing of Finn Delap ahead of today’s game. Finn is a defender and worked under McGrath at Mickelover. He joins on a 2 month loan deal from Burton Albion.

Opposition

The club finished 19th in the league last season on 54 points.

They play their games at Dales Lane in Walsall which has a capacity of 1400.

The club are nicknamed The Pics.

They currently sit in 21st having picked up 6 points in the first 7 games.

They won their last game against Marine 2-0.

One to watch

Mason Rees is an 18 year old midfielder who signed from Wolverhampton Wanders and made his debut in the last game against Marine.

He made his EFL trophy debut away to Derby County and featured 11 times for Wolves in the PL2 campaign last season.

Last Time Out

Dylan Mottley-Henry scored in between 2 goals from Diego De Girolamo as Buxton won 3-0 in March.

The Bucks drew 2-2 after coming from behind twice with Centre Back Max Hunt grabbing both the goals at The Silverlands.
