NATIONAL LEAGUE NORTH PREVIEW: BUXTON RETURN TO LEAGUE ACTION

We are back to league action and on the road as we travel to Radcliffe.


The Bucks


The Bucks go into this game after progressing through in the FA cup after a replay against Barwell on Monday.


Diego De Girolamo scored 2 to set up a tie against Kidderminster at home in the next round.


Following the victory manager John McGrath said:


"We knew what had to be done and the lads followed the game plan. We look forward to entertaining Kidderminster in front of our own fans."


Buxton club captain Josh Granite has moved on this week to A6 rivals Matlock.

Opposition


The club finished 1st in the Nothern Premier League Premier division last season.


They play their games at Neuven Stadium which has a capacity of 3500 with 350 seated.


The club are nicknamed The Boro.


They currently sit in 2rd after 4 points from the first 8 games.


They won their last gameprogressing through in the FA cup after a 2-1 win against Warrington Town.


One to watch

Former Buck Brad Roscoe has scored 4 goals so far this season.


He was the clubs first signing this summer and is a centre back that has started every game.


Last Time Out

Diego De Girolamo grabbed a hat-trick in 2022 as Buxton came out 3-0 winners in the NPL.


Last time at Radcliffe Buxton also won with goals from James Hurst, Warren Clarke and Ash Chambers.
