ONE LAST PUSH : Buxton travel to Chester in the final game of the season!

UP NEXT:

Buxton travel to Chester knowing a win will secure their place in the National League North playoffs.

The Bucks

The Bucks go into this game following the

3-1 victory against Brackley last Saturday.

An almost perfect first half had the Bucks 3-1 up at the break with goals from Ackroyd,De Girolamo and Kirby putting them in the 7th and final playoff spot.

Following the victory manager Craig Elliott said:

Brackley are an excellent team but we pressed them to death in the first half and it was the best we've played since I've arrived. Second half saw us create two or three more chances to improve on a great result.

“Coming in, it was all about avoiding relegation. Now look at us. This is what we've been working hard for and it's a terrific week ahead. We'll train hard and be ready against third-placed Chester. We want our fans there, please, to give us as much support as possible."

Opposition

Chester have been confirmed to be finishing in 3rd spot for a fortnight now and have  81 points.

The club finished 16th in the National league North last season.

They beat 10 man Kettering in their latest game winning 1-0 after a Darren Stephenson goal.

They sit 4th in the form guide on 14 points from their last 6 games.

They play their games at The Deva Stadium.

They are nicknamed The Seals.

One to Watch

With a rotated side last week it’s hard to predict who will be my one to watch.

I’m going to go with Kole Hall who is a 24 year old Bermudan forward.

He joined the club in the summer of 2022 having previously being on duel registration from Altrincham at Nantwich Town.

Hall has been capped at international level and even has a goal scoring against the Cayman Islands.

He is an attacker with a lot of pace who will get at The Bucks back line.

Last Time Out

The sides played out a 0-0 draw at The Silverlands in October.
