Preview: Buxton face Brackley in a crucial clash for Craig Elliott’s team

Buxton take on Brackley looking to bounce back from Tuesdays heavy defeat to Warrington Town.

The Bucks go into this game following a big 6-0 defeat at The Tarmac Silverlands stadium on Tuesday night.


Following the loss manager Craig Elliott said:


"The first half was even and for quarter of an hour in the second half we were on the front foot and looked likely to get something out of the game.


"Warrington took control, though, and made us look poor. In the last 15 minutes it seemed that every shot they had went in.


They ground us down and took our confidence away. I have to move us forward, quickly, to put it right. We're crying out for consistency and have to stop losing at home, as I want us to prove to everyone on Saturday against Brackley."


Opposition


The club finished in the playoffs last season in 4th place losing to Kidderminster in the final.


They play their games at St James Park which has a capacity of 3500.


The club was founded in 1890.


The club are nicknamed The Saints.


They won their last game beating Bishop Stortford 2-1 with goals from Roberts and O’Sullivan.

Despite equalising through Shiels The Bucks conceded a late goal to lose 2-1 when the sides met earlier on in the season.


However last time the sides faced was in April with The Bucks winning 3-1 at The Tarmac Silverlands Stadium.
