PREVIEW: BUXTON HEAD NORTH TO FACE BLYTH SPARTANS

The Bucks are on the road as they face Blyth Spartans on the 19th March with a 7:45pm kickoff.

The Bucks

The Bucks go into this game following the 2-0 defeat to South Shields at the weekend with Jak McCourt getting sent off for dissent.

Following the loss manger Craig Elliott said:

"We limited them to little in the first half, while we were creating openings. It was a good start again after the break, but games are won and lost in both boxes and it is disappointing to lose.

Even with 10-men we had spells of domination against the best possession side in this league and I can take heart that we played well for much of the time. It will be tough away at Blyth midweek and we will doing our best to make up for today's loss."

Opposition

Blyth won their last game against Southport 3-2 with Hooper grabbing 2 goals.

They currently sit 17th in the league on 46 points from 39 games.

Their manager is Jon Shaw who was previously a player at The Spartans. He made 6 appearances in the England C team scoring a goal.

The club finished 19th in the league last season.

They play their games at Croft Park which has a capacity of 4435.

One to Watch

JJ Hooper is a 30 year old attacker who has 10 goals so far in the league this season.

He came out of the Newcastle academy and has been at Gloucester and South Shields in recent years.

Last time out

Sam Osborne got a double and Jake Wright got a goal as The Bucks won 3-0 earlier on in the season.
