Preview: Buxton travel to Warrington in the hunt for their first win of the season


UP NEXT:


Buxton are on the road again as face Warrington Town on Tuesday night.


The Bucks


The Bucks go into this game following the 2-1 loss away against Brackley at the weekend.


After equalising in the 82nd minute Danny Newton scored in the 94th minute to snatch all 3 points.


Following the loss manager Craig Elliott said:


"We need to get our injured lads back but we've played well against two of the best teams in the league and showed up well.


Next, it will be a difficult fixture at Warrington.


They've got a good manager and a strong squad, but we'll work hard at preparations for that game, regrouping to try to get full points on board. We want to move forward quickly."


Opposition


The club finished 2nd in the Northern Premier League and won the playoffs to get promoted  after beating Bamber Bridge 1-0 in the final.


Warrington Town are nicknamed the yellows which ties in with their home kit colours.


The club was founded in 1949 as Stockton Heath by Jimmy Drinkwater.


The Club play their games at Cantilever Park which has a capacity of 2550.


They currently sit on a win and a draw from the first team games after beating Southport on the opening day 4-0  and losing to Blyth at the weekend.


The Yellows manager is former Forest Green Rovers striker Mark Beesley taking charge in November 2021.


One to Watch

Bohan Dixon is a 6ft4 midfielder that has been with the club since 2018.


At 33 years old he has lots of experience in non league as well as playing for Accrington and Lincoln.

Last Time Out


Last time the 2 sides met was at the Silverlands in January 2022 in a 3-3 draw a Jamie Ward double and Tommy Elliott goal met The Bucks shared the points.
