PREVIEW: Hyde United by Elliot Steadman



We are back at home as we face Hyde in the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday 15th October.


The Bucks


The Bucks go into this game following the first away win of the season last week as they beat Spennymoor 1-0.


Another goal from Connor Kirby meant the Bucks picked up 3 points on the road.


Ahead of the FA Cup fixture manager Jamie Vermiglio had this to say:


“Like you, the players want an FA Cup run and we want to gain some momentum to propel ourselves up in the league.

Opposition

Hyde sit 6th in the Northern Premier league Premier Division just outside of playoffs.


Last game they lost 3-2 to Colne in the FA Trophy.


To get to this round they beat National league North side Darlington.


The club finished 18th in Northern Premier league Premier Division last season.


They play their games at  The Project Solar stadium in Greater Manchester.


The club are nicknamed The Tigers.


Hyde have made a new signing ahead of this game picking up midfielder Sonny Whittingham on loan from Huddersfield Town.


One to Watch

Ex Buck Bradley Roscoe has got 4 goals for the visitors this season.


The centre half has been given the armband for the 2022/23 season.


Last time out


The Bucks won 2-1 last time out with Jason Gilchrist and Warren Clarke getting the goals as both teams ended the game with 10 men as Krisel Prifti and Tommy Elliott got sent off.
