PREVIEW: SCUNTHORPE VS BUXTON PART 2

Up Next

The Bucks are away again as they travel back to Scunthorpe for the replay on the 30th September 2023.

The Bucks

The Bucks go into this game following their 2-0 loss against Spennymoor last week.

Following the loss manger Craig Elliott said:

Fair play to Spennymoor, they came here to do a job on us and succeeded.

"We've had a lot of injuries in the last five weeks. There's been illness in the camp this week meaning several of the lads were unable to train properly. It was a struggle to field a full side. But we'll work through it and come out alright on the other side.

"Week by week, game by game we will get to the level that I want. Now for Scunthorpe. It was difficult to accept the outcome of the first meeting with the very late abandonment and there'll be a lot of eyes on the re-run. We'll be giving it our best shot and hope to have a strong following, urging us on."

In their most recent game they drew to Chorley with a goal from Danny Elliott in a 1-1 drew.

Last time out

Buxton were 2-1 leaders after being reduced down to 10 men and saving a penalty in the final minutes of the game before the referee blew up for what everyone believed to have been full time. It was about 5 minutes later and it was announced that the game had in fact been abandoned.
