Chesterfield will face Wrexham at the Proact Stadium, looking to recover after a heavy defeat to Notts County.
The Opposition
Despite being tipped to do well this season the Dragons have struggled, but have found better form lately. They have managed to claw away from the drop zone up to 19th, 5 points above the relegation zone.
One To Watch
JJ Hooper - The forward graduated from the Newcastle academy and spent time on loan at a selection of clubs including Alfreton Town.
The 26-year-old joined Wrexham in the Summer after scoring 14 goals in 22 appearances whilst on loan at Bromley last season. Manager at the time Bryan Hughes said Hooper was his “main target”.
Previous Meetings
The two sides have met three times already this season. A Wrexham own goal gifted Chesterfield the three points in the league match at the Racecourse ground. While the Dragons came out on top in the FA Cup replay at their home ground.
Team News
John Pemberton revealed there are no new injury concerns.
Both Mike Fondop and Nathan Tyson will be back in contention for a place in the starting eleven.
Pemberton’s Thoughts
“The supporters have been fully behind us, we’ve had great messages and they’ve shown their support. We were disappointed after last week’s result but Saturday’s game can’t come quick enough."
