The Opposition

Danny Searle’s side have climbed up the table three places since Chesterfield last faced them.In the National League they’ve won three out of their last five (W3 L2).

In the trophy they’ve beaten Welwyn Garden City 5-1 and Solihull Moors 3-2 to get to the fifth round.

One-To-Watch

Mo Bettamer- The Aldershot number nine represents Libya at international level and worked his way up from their under 18s.

He started his club career at London Tigers and made a handful of appearances for a selection of other non-league clubs before moving to Libyan club Al Ahly Benghazi.

He returned to the UK and spent a couple of years out of football before joining Staines Town in 2016 where he spent two seasons making 82 appearances and scoring 39 goals. An impressive couple of seasons nearly earnt the striker a move to Salford City but the deal fell through and he ended up joining Braintree Town.

Following a stint in Essex he spent time at Barnet before joining Aldershot Town on a free transfer in October last year. The 27-year-old is Shots top scorer this season with six goals so far this campaign.

Previous Meetings

The last meeting between the two teams was James Rowe’s first home match as Spireites boss. Somehow the game ended goalless and Chesterfield recorded their first draw of the season.

Team News

Tom Whelan is unavailable; he is serving the second of his three match ban after seeing red against Dagenham & Redbridge. Tom Denton, Joe Rowley and Nathan Tyson are out due to injury and Alex Whittle, Adi Yussuf and Adam Pryzbeck are cup-tied having played in the FA Trophy for their previous clubs this season.

Rowe’s Thoughts

"If we win tomorrow we're only two games away from Wembley. The financial outlay if we progress is important too. It should be a good game."
