Chesterfield will make the short journey to the Raygar Stadium for the opening fixture of their pre-season campaign.
The Nailers are members of the Northern Premier Division South East (Step 4 of Non-League) which means that a limited number of spectators will be allowed. The attendance will be capped at 400 for this game and tickets are now sold out.
Social distancing measures will be in place and guidance for supporters can be found here: https://www.belpertownfc.co.uk/a/covid19--59878.html?page=4
The Opposition
Prior to the cancellation of the season the Nailers were pushing for the play-offs but finished up in ninth place- an improvement on the previous season.
On Saturday Belper went toe-to-toe with Trafford FC when they welcomed supporters to the Raygar Stadium for the first time since COVID-19 struck. The game finished 1-1 with Danny South finding the back of the net for Town.
The encounter with the Spireites will be Belper’s final run out before competitive football returns on the 12th when they face Sutton Coldfield in the FA Cup Preliminary Round.
One To Watch
Danny South- The Nailers’ skipper signed for Town in Summer 2018 and has previously spent time with Sheffield FC, Frickley Athletic, Ossett Town, Ossett Albion and Athersley Recreation.
The 30-year-old spent most of last season at centre half and has been described as a ‘dominant force’ for Belper since his arrival.
Team News
It is standard for lots of different faces to feature during pre-season. New signings Milan Butterfield, Kyle Letheren and Nathan Tyson will all be looking to impress.
