PREVIEW: Spireites travel to Wealdstone


Chesterfield take on Wealdstone at Grosvenor Vale in North London. The stadium has a capacity of 3,607, however due to COVID-19 restrictions the game will be played behind closed doors. The Opposition

Last season Dean Brennan’s side were promoted as champions from the National League South finishing the season three points clear of Havant and Waterlooville in second. The Stones currently sit in 18th place on four points. Their only victory so far came on Saturday against Wrexham when they beat the Welsh side 4-3. 

One-To-Watch

Dennon Lewis- The versatile player came through the ranks at Watford and signed his first professional contract with them in 2016. The following season he was a regular in their under 21s team, playing on the right wing. He spent time on loan at Woking and Crawley Town before joining Scottish club Falkirk where he made sixteen appearances. The 23-year old spent time at Bromley before signing for the Stones last season. He scored twelve goals and was named ‘Player of the Year’ at the end of season awards.

This will be the first meeting between the two sides. 


Team News

John Pemberton revealed that all first team players except for goalkeeper Luke Coddington are now fit. The Spireites’ gaffer added that Coddington probably won't be fit until after Christmas.
