However it’s very much all to play for with five clubs (including Halifax) chasing two spots.

Supporters will be in attendance however no away fans are permitted.

The Opposition

Pete Wild’s men sit 10th in the National League. They know that they must win and other results must go their way to get in the play-offs.

The Shaymen have been in patchy form as of late. They’ve won two out of their last five and lost to Dagenham & Redbridge, Boreham Wood and Stockport.

They’ve not drawn a game since the end of March when they held National League Champions Sutton to a point.

One-To-Watch

Jake Hyde- The striker joined Halifax Town in the Summer on a two year deal from Woking. During his time with the Cards, Hyde scored 27 goals in 60 appearances.

A good proportion of the 30-year-old's career was enjoyed in the Football League with clubs including Barnet, Stevenage and York City however he had a stint in Scotland where he represented Lochee United, Dundee and Dunfermline.

The Maidenhead-born striker also played for his hometown club when they were in the National League South on a loan basis before signing permanently after they won promotion to the National League.

This season Hyde has scored 12 goals for Halifax.

Previous Meetings

In the reverse fixture the Shaymen took all three points by claiming a 2-1 victory over the Spirietes at the Technique Stadium.

Jeff King and Jake Hyde were on the scoresheet for Pete Wild’s side and it was Kairo Mitchell who clawed one back for Chesterfield.

Team News

James Rowe revealed that Gavin Gunning and Curtis Weston, who have both been carrying injuries are ready to go.

There were no fresh injury concerns to report.

Rowe’s Thoughts

“We’re obviously in there and we’re the target. There are three teams that want to finish above us. It is in our hands.”
