The Bucks go into this game following their 3-2 victory against Spennymoor last week

A last minute penalty from Diego De Girolamo and goals from Jake Wright and Connor Kirby sealed all 3 points on the road.

Following the victory manger Craig Elliott said:

"We've been in a rough patch but it's great to have players back. We've got a really good bunch of players and strong dressing room and I had tough selection decisions to make.

"It was a cracking game, plenty of incidents and lots for the away supporters to cheer. We looked strong with starters and subs alike playing so very well. New signing Dylan had a great debut. I've been after him for a long time and he helped make the difference.

"We still have to get better but this was a really good win. Difficult game against Scunthorpe next time but I hope we can do our fans proud with another good performance, against the promotion favourites."

Buxton made the signing of  Dylan Mottley-Henry before last weeks game on loan from South Shields having previously played at 2 other National league North clubs on loan this year the winger joined until the end of the season on loan.

Max Brogan has also joined The Bucks on a 28 day loan from Solihull Moors. The 21 year old is a midfielder that has also played for Tamworth.

George Horbury has extended his loan with The Bucks for a further month after impressing so far.

Pierce Bird has returned the Fylde following the end of his loan spell.

The Bucks will be without the suspended Connor Kirby after he has picked up 10 yellow cards.


In their most recent game they beat Chorley 3-0 with 2 goals from Danny Whitehall.

They currently sit 1st with 46 points from 22 games.

Their manager is Jimmy Dean who joined the club in January 2023 after joining from Peterborough Sports where he had 4 promotions in 5 seasons.

The club finished 23rd in the National League getting relegated last season.

The club are nicknamed the Irons.

Jacob Butterfield is an experienced midfielder who signed for the club in 2022.
