REPORT: Replay needed in the FA Cup for Belper Town

Updated: Sep 23, 2019

Belper Town and Witton Albion played out a goalless draw in the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round.

In a game of very few clear cut chances, both sides had some half chances and attempts on goal but couldn’t convert.

Belper Town manager Grant Black named an unchanged starting eleven from last Saturday’s 2-1 win against Worksop Town.

The best chance for Belper came in the second half when Craig Nelthorpe played a ball in from the left hand side, the ball dropped to Danny South and his shot was saved by Renshaw and the ball came to Phil Watt and he put the ball in the back of the net but the goal was disallowed after Watt was judged to be in an offside position.

The game finished 0-0 and a replay will be required at Witton Albion on Tuesday 24th September.

Belper Town: Musselwhite, Bryant, Clarke, Bertram (Waldram 73), South, Watt, Robson, Nelthorpe (Milner 79), Peterson, Curtis, Dawes (Gordon 62).

Unused Substitutes: Wright, Ridley, Kozluk, Thompson

Attendance: 503
