Chesterfield welcome Barnet to the Technique Stadium in hope of continuing a positive start to James Rowe’s tenure at the club.

The game will be played behind closed doors however supporters can purchase a stream via this link: https://page.inplayer.com/ChesterfieldFC/item.html?id=145978

The Opposition

The Bees are currently 20th in the National League, four points and three places behind the Spireites. They are currently eight games without a win in the National League with their last three points coming in October against Weymouth. They did beat League One side Burton Albion in the first round of the FA Cup but lost out on a place in the third round to MK Dons.

One-To-Watch

JJ Hooper- The 27-year-old graduated through Newcastle United’s academy and spent time on loan at Workington and Darlington before joining Northampton where he endured more time out on loan. The forward spent time with Havant & Waterlooville, Port Vale, Grimsby Town, Bromley and Wrexham before joining Barnet in the Summer. Hooper is the Bees’ top scorer so far this season with three goals.

Previous Meetings

The two sides have met many times over the years. The last meeting between the two sides saw Mike Fondop net a brace on his debut but it wasn’t enough for all three points as the game ended 2-2.

Team News

James Rowe revealed a few players hadn’t trained due to picking up a few bumps and bruises in midweek.

Will Evans will miss the match due to picking up his fifth yellow card of the season on Tuesday and David Buchanan is not in contention due to picking up a knee injury.

Rowe’s Thoughts

"I'm confident. Two wins out of three is great, now let's try and make it three out of four. I want a positive performance tomorrow.

“What we have done though is started fantastically in my tenure as manager, but it’s three games. To win a league you have to do it over 44 games.”
