John Sheridan has made his fourth signing since returning to Chesterfield with Ellis Chapman joining on loan from Lincoln City.
The young midfielder has been brought in until the end of the season to help the Spireites in their National League relegation battle.
Chapman started his youth career at the Imps before moving to Premier League Leicester City in 2016.
A return to Lincoln followed in 2017, where he has featured 14 times since the start of last season for the current League Two leaders.
The 18-year-old is very highly rated by Lincoln City fans and looks to be a shrewd signing for Chesterfield.
Sheridan told the club website: "He'll add good balance to the squad. He's capable of playing at left-back as well as on the left-hand side of midfield."
Chapman will have the opportunity to make his debut this Saturday when the Spireites welcome Halifax Town to the Proact Stadium.
