The late push for playoffs continues : Preview Buxton vs Brackley

UP NEXT:

Buxton take on Brackley in the hunt for playoffs in the final home game of the season.

The Bucks

The Bucks go into this game following the Derbyshire Senior Cup final victory against Derby County’s under 21’s.

Goals from De Girolamo and Connor Kirby late on were the difference as The Bucks won 2-1 at Pride Park to win the trophy.

Following the victory manager Craig Elliott said:

We found a way to win and that's what good players and teams do. Opponents Derby were terrific and will be disappointed. They tired late on, though, and we were able to take advantage.  It's all about putting the ball into the back of the net and we did that by pushing right up to the end.

"Saturday against Brackley will be another kind of cup final, a massive game for us. We've got a few bumps and bruises but we'll be ready. Hopefully, we'll have big crowd support to shout us on."

Buxton go into the final 2 games sat in 10th place on 64 points 1 point outside of the playoff positions.
