Bucks pick up big 3 points in promotion hunt

The Bucks picked up a 3-0 win against already relegated Grantham with a brace from Diego De Girolamo.

It didn’t take long for Buxton to show their brilliance with some great passing play to Lindon Miekle who took a long range effort towards the goal.

And the home side took the lead in the 11tg minute as a fast paced counter attack move led to Hardy playing a through ball to Chambers who dinked it over the keeper into the net for 1-0.

De Girolamo doubled the Bucks lead only 10 minutes later picking up the ball from the corner and curling it into the bottom right of the net.

The Bucks continued to pile the pressure on with Chambers sticking the ball in the net but the linesman ruled it out for offside.

Clarke almost got the third for The Bucks straight after halftime as he beat his man and fired it over.

However they did take the lead as De Girolamo got his second after a quick passing move found him and he fired it into the goal for 3-0

Substitution Nathan Fox was involved in the action as he came on and forced the keeper into getting down low and making a save.

Fox was involved in the last chance of the game as well as he crossed it into De Girolamo who tried to loop it in over the keeper.

The Bucks now have 3 massive games left in the promotion hunt.
