The returning Jamie Ward grabbed 2 goals as Buxton picked up their first point in 4 in a 3-3 draw.
Both teams started brightly with Chances from Jordan Buckley for Warrington and Warren Clarke for Buxton in the opening minute forcing the teams to clear their lines.
Buckley opened the scoring on the 5th minute to grab his third goal against The Bucks this season as Mackreth played a ball across the box and Buckley fired home for 0-1.
The Yellows continued to pile the pressure on with Sean Williams having a shot on the edge of the box which fizzed just past Theo Richardson’s goal.
Buxton’s equaliser came from the penalty spot as Clarke was taken down from behind and Jamie Ward stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way.
Buckley did however regain the lead for Warrington only minutes later as his cheeky flick found the back of the net.
In the 40th minute Clarke got involved once again as his cross was hit out by Atherton in net which fell to Tommy Elliott who put it into the empty net.
Just before half time the visitors had their third of the game with a quick 1/2 corner to Williams who curled his shot into the far corner of the net.
The Yellows almost recreated their first goal early in the second as Mackrath once again whipped the ball across for Buckley who just couldn’t get on the end of this one.
Buxton grabbed their third equaliser of the game with Clarke showing a great burst of pace to get past his man on the byline and cross it in to one of the smallest players on the pitch Ward who headed it home for 3-3.
And they thought they had the winner late on as Chambers shot appeared to have crossed the line but the linesman said no as the game ended in a draw.
