New Matlock boss Dave Frecklington has strengthened his new Matlock team with three new signings.

Amongst the trio is familiar name and experienced midfielder Cleveland Taylor, who played for the Gladiators in the 2016/17 season and joins from NPL East Division promotion-chasers Stamford.

Taylor will bring plenty of experience to a Matlock side in need of confidence, having played for EFL sides Scunthorpe United, Bolton Wanderers, Carlisle United, Brentford and most recently Burton Albion.

Also joining from Stamford is 21-year-old defender Taron Hare, who has had National League North experience with Boston United, North Ferriby United, Gainsborough Trinity and York City.

Tom Davie completes the hat-trick of signings, joining from struggling East Division side Cleethorpes Town having also played for North Ferriby and Gainsborough.
