Chesterfield look to close in on the play-off places when they go for back-to-back wins against King’s Lynn Town at the Technique Stadium.
The game was scheduled to be played earlier this year but was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Ian Culverhouse’s side are looking for their first win in nine games. Their last victory came against Altrincham when a Kairo Mitchell brace sealed the points. In their last four games they have conceded 13 goals and dropped down to 21st in the table, five points ahead of Barnet at the foot of the table.

Sonny Carey- The 20-year-old joined King’s Lynn from Wroxham in June 2019. With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, a move to the football league could be on the Cards for the Norwich City academy product, who has attracted the attention of a number of clubs including AFC Bournemouth and Swansea City.

In the reverse fixture Sonny Carey’s 39th minute free-kick gave Lynn the lead however two goals in two minutes from super subs Tom Whelan and Nathan Tyson meant Chesterfield went home with the points.

James Rowe said that Fraser Kerr has had a scan on his knee and that Gavin Gunning will be assessed ahead of the game.

“They have got an experienced coach and we definitely won’t underestimate them. It was a tough time at their place. We scored two later on in the game.
“Credit to King’s Lynn, they haven’t given up. They’re playing full-bloodily in all the minutes that they are playing.
“I’ve watched their games back and they’re still trying to play in their own identity. I’m sure they are building towards next year and they are going to come here and give it a right go.”
