REPORT: Late Bryson goal saves Rams

A late Craig Bryson goal saved Derby County from a second consecutive league loss as they drew 1-1 with Norwich City at Pride Park.

Frank Lampard made one change to the side that lost 1-0 to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday as Scott Malone replaced Craig Forsyth.

On the other hand, Daniel Farke named the exact same team secured their fifth consecutive win against Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

The first chance fell to thew hosts when Scott Carson brilliantly found David Nugent, but the striker's half-volley was palmed away for a corner by Tim Krul.

It wasn't just the Rams with all the chances, though. Christoph Zimmermann headed Moritz Leitner's corner towards goal into Scott Carson's arms.

The Canaries continued the pressure and almost took the lead through Jamal Lewis when his strong run and shot forced Carson into making a smart save.

In the 38th minute, Mason Mount was denied a fourth league goal of the season after his shot was superbly stopped by Krul.

Almost immediately, the visitors had a fantastic chance to take the lead. Todd Cantwell somehow made is way into the penalty are before shooting straight at Derby's goalkeeper.

It took a little while for the second half to get going, but the away side were inches away from taking the lead when Teemu Pukki's goal bound shot was deflected away from goal by Richard Keogh.

However, from the corner, Norwich City took the lead after Timm Klose headed home Stati Buendia's corner.

The hosts pushed for an equaliser and almost found their goal through Mount. However, the midfielder's effort was brilliantly tipped over by Krul.

With four minutes to go, Derby found a late equaliser when Martyn Waghorn's fantastic cross was directed into the back of the net via the hip of Craig Bryson.

This result sees Frank Lampard's side without a win in two league games. However, they leapfrog Wigan Athletic into eighth place in the Championship table.

Daniel Farke and Norwich City stay in fifth place and this draw also means that their five game winning streak is over. The Canaries are still unbeaten in eight though.

Post-Match Verdict: Something missing from Derby

After watching the game, I just can't help but feel like something is missing from Frank Lampard's jigsaw.

Scott Carson was in fine form tonight and couldn't do much about the goal. His distribution is also fantastic.

In my opinion, the full backs were slightly disappointing, but Keogh and Tomori were a solid centre-back pairing. They do need to cut out the defensive mistakes quickly though.

The midfield and attack just didn't provide that spark and resorted to a lot of crosses. Unfortunately, the crosses weren't particularly good either.

Marty Waghorn did play well when he came on and ultimately provided the cross for the equaliser. This could put him in line to start against QPR on Saturday.

Lampard does need to change things slightly. if the Rams have learnt from the Bolton game, they should pick up three points at Loftus Road on Saturday when Derby face QPR.
