The Nailers are through to the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup after a Charlie Dawes strike secured a 1-0 win over Avelchurch.
Belper Town manager, Grant Black, stayed with the same starting eleven that has started the last four games for Belper Town.
Steve Ridley started on the bench after he served his suspension after being sent off against Ilkeston.
The first half was hard fought with few chances for either side. Belper’s best chance of the first half was from a freekick, when Craig Nelthorpe crossed the ball in and the ball dropped to Phil Watt who struck the post and the ball went wide.
The second half also saw very few clear cut chances from either side, until the eighty seventh minute when Belper Town finally broke the deadlock.
Josh Waldram played the ball out to Dawes on the left hand side and the forward struck the ball into the back of the net to give Belper Town a 1-0 lead.
Belper Town hung on for the remaining three minutes of the game and the several minutes of added time to progress to the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round.
Belper Town’s next game will be on Saturday 14th September when Belper Town travel to Worksop Town.
