De Girolamo was a constant threat, and his persistence paid off again in the 35th minute. After winning the ball back, a quick passing move set Callum Leigh up for a shot from the edge of the box, only for Huddersfield’s goalkeeper to make an outstretched save.
However, Buxton doubled their lead in the 40th minute when Grant's superb pass over the top found Trialist A and his low pass into the box came to Trialist C for his second goal of the game.
Huddersfield was reduced to ten men in the 48th minute following a bad tackle on a Bucks player as they looked to run in at goal.
The Bucks did make it 3-0 in the 74th minute when a rapid counter-attack saw De Girolamo pass to Ravenhill, who set up Trialist C to complete his hat-trick with a simple tap-in.
Despite continued efforts and opportunities, including a close attempt by De Girolamo in the 89th minute, Buxton couldn't extend their lead further.
