PREVIEW: Final game of the season as Buxton travel to Farsley

Buxton face Farsley in the last game of the season looking to end on a high.


The Bucks


The Bucks go into this game following retaining the Derbyshire Senior Cup on Wednesday with a 5-0 win again Heanor Town.


Following the victory manager Craig Elliott said:


“It was a bit scrappy first 20 minutes but we got the first goal and we didn’t look back then. Obviously Heanor put up a good fight but I think the last 10 minutes or so we could’ve got a few more goals. Ultimately I’m just really happy to win the game.”


Opposition

The club finished 20th in the league last season surviving relegation.


They play their games at The Citadel which has a capacity of 4000.


The club are nicknamed The Celt Army.


They currently sit 21st after 45 games and have 50 points. They will need to better Blyths result to stay up.


They lost their last game 3-1 to Darlington at the weekend.


One to watch

Ben Atinkson has made over 150 appearances for the club in midfield.


He rejoined the club in the summer from Liversedge and is an attacking threat.


Last Time Out

Both sides ended the game with 10 men and The Buckd lost 2-1 earlier on in the season. Diego De Girolamo opened the scoring before 2 quick goals put the visitors ahead at the break. De Girolamo was then sent off and it was a long way back for the hosts.
