Buxton pick up big 3 points on the road!

Jason Gilchrist's second half header meant that Buxton beat Gloucester 1-0 away from home.

Buxton started well with an early shot curling wide from Declan Poole on from the edge of the box.

Gloucester responded well with Matt McClures freekick on the left flank finding Ben Nugent who’s effort was collected by Theo Richardson.

McClure continued to be involved in the action this time having a left footed shot aimed at the far post that went narrowly wide.

The Tigers continued to push with Sean O’Brein feeding through Tre Mitford and Richardson pulled off an acrobatic save to deny the opener.

And Gloucester almost had the lead just before half time with 3 quick shots from close range  2 of which had to be saved by Richardson before the third went over the bar.

The Bucks started the second half with a deep cross from Lindon Mikele coming into the head of Jason Gilchrist who tried to loop it over the keeper and went wide.

Buxton got the lead a few minutes later as Poole’s cross found the head of Gilchrist who fired home.

Substitute Jake Andrews tried an effort from a long range Freekick that Richardson was able to calmly pick up.

Gloucester kept pushing on with an attempted lobbed shot from Junior Tiensa not being able to dip enough.

Buxton continued the push on at the end with De Girolamo’s deflected effort having to be cleared away.

And it went from bad to worse for the home side as McHale picked up a second yellow for a reckless challenge in added time.
