Buxton picked up all 3 points in a convincing 3-1 win against Chorley.
The home side came out of the blocks quick after only 2 minutes with Diego De Girolamo managing to find Tommy Elliott and with a low driven shot tested the hands of Matt Urwin early on.
Elliott was once again involved minutes later firing wide after Jak McCourts freekick from 30 yards out found the midfielder running into the box.
Chorley looked most dangerous from set pieces coming close after a Harvey Smith header from a corner ball.
Adam Blakeman with a long range freekick effort was forced Joe Young to save the ball away with Gerald Sithole there to meet the rebound however the referee blew up for a foul.
Buxton took the lead in the 36th from the penalty spot after Joe Ackroyd was fouled incoming to the box. De Girolamo stepped up and dispatched it to make it 1-0.
Weston let fly early in the second half firing a shot just wide from the edge of the box.
A Livingstone freekick in the 52nd minute doubled Buxton’s lead after he found Shiels and with a striker style finish found the back of the net for 2-0.
Max Hunt off of the bench added the 3rd goal of the game rising at the back post and with power heading it home.
Chorley got a goal back at the other end a laid back pass from Mayo to Wilson was driven low and gave the visitors a goal back.
The Magpies thought they might’ve had a penalty late on with a handballl shout in the box but the referee waved it away and ended the game.
